A STEAM challenge and a creative way to reuse old toys’ parts – Pointillist robot

First and foremost, I think education should have an interdisciplinary approach to art and science. Teaching them separately is like mining the human brain for an isolate resource and ignoring the rest. I think it goes against the holistic evolution of the human brain and body to exploit an aptitude in favor of another and compartmentalize disciplines.

My Grandmother

The portrait of my maternal grandmother and the 3rd painting in my Inspiring Women series was the most difficult one to paint. She was younger here than when I knew her, this is why I found it so hard to capture her soulful  and gentle of her face. But I had to do it because I am so grateful to her for teaching me to be human and giving me hope in humanity in spite of the difficult times and place where I was brought up.

Ever since FriBoy was born, I’ve been wondering how much of my own culture to let him appropriate, should he be more Romanian or Swiss or European since he spends a lot of time in Spain or the Netherlands. Then I decided to teach him to be human above all and let him chose what and how much he wants to appropriate of the rest.
