Introducing my next collection of glass paintings – De l’esprit et la forêt (Of spirit and the forest).
When I was a small kid I would ask my grandmother to take me and my sister to the railway station. It was my favorite thing to do, sitting there and watching the trains until they left. They were old, smelly and rundown, but to me they looked magical because they took people to places they had never seen before.
The deer in the forest
This illustration is inspired by the forest of Grand Belmont, one of my favorite forests in the canton of Fribourg. I saw a deer in one of my evening walks in this forest and felt like I needed to paint it. The whole scenery seemed surreal and magical, the deer popping out of nowhere, watching us for a while before taking of in the bushes.
