Friday was a bank holiday in the canton of Fribourg and we took this opportunity to visit a museum that had interested me for quite some time but didn’t get the chance to see until now because it’s open only for 3 hours a day, between 14:00 – 17:00.
The Sense Headdress
The Sense folk costume is unique in Switzerland, this type used to be worn by girls upon marriage. The headdress was marker of the marital status, like allover Europe and in other parts of the world. Nowadays the traditional costume is worn for the catholic Corpus Christi processions in Tafers and Dudingen.
When Streets Are Ampty
My favorite time of the day in Fribourg is early morning, when the streets are empty. I feel like the city belongs to me.
Rainbow over the Netherlands Painting
This is a new painting I made based on a child’s drawing. This time it’s a 4 year old dutch boy who drew a rainbow who inspired me, in turn, to paint a rainbow of textures.
Artsy Wednesdays – Clay Christmas Decorations
Today for #ArtsyWednesdays we made clay decorations.
A Christmas Story Painting
This is another painting I did starting from a child’s drawing. It’s the drawing of a 5 year old boy. I love his style, he makes very detailed and delicate drawings.
Snowy Fribourg
This is worth a post because I have rarely seen this much snow in Fribourg.
