We did this project upon FriBoy’s request. He drew a dragonfly and asked FriDad to help him cut it in wood.
Transfer the drawing to a thin wooden board and cut it with a fret-saw.
        
Make sure to smooth the edges with sandpaper or a Dremel tool. You can paint it with water based colors. I usually seal woodcut toys with a beeswax cream. Recipe here.
